Busy-season Charge...

Dear Friends,

Entering the hub-bub-iest season of the year, aren’t we! And it’s been a busy traveling season, too. Thanks so much for your prayers and e-notes while I’ve been on the road. Issuing a busy-season CHARGE here to friends, family, and…well…to ME…to keep looking up, focusing on Jesus.

Charging up to celebrate the Thanksgiving season with you! Aren’t we a multi-mega-blessed people!

Put It On My Charge

by Rhonda Rhea

“The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live,” 1 Timothy 2:1-3, MSG.

I have a terrible memory. So whenever it’s time to get a gift for someone, I have a hard time remembering what I’ve already given them. I bought one friend the same birthday card two years in a row. At least two years in a row. Talk about embarrassing. And keeping all the cards and gifts straight is getting trickier all the time.

That’s why I was... [read more]

Looking for a new book for your women’s group?

THE PURSE-UIT OF HOLINESS:  Learning to Imitate the Master Designer is a great choice. The group discussion guide (included in the back of the book) makes it a super choice for your women’s group study. Check it out on my shopping page.

Feedback Corner:

Our Bible Study is currently using the book High Heels in High Places and the ladies love it. We all really enjoy the way you discuss important issues in a humorous fashion. I have never been one who enjoys to read, but I have enjoyed your books. I appreciate the way you relate scripture to real life situations and because of the humorous stories they are more likely to stick in my memory than a boring “lecture” type book. Thank you so much for helping me grow!

With love and appreciation,
Laurie--Gilbert, AZ

Getting Crafty

More and more often we’re noticing event planners setting up an optional side table or two with quick craft projects. Picture frames, decorative keepsake boxes, refrigerator magnets and decorated notepads make great quickie projects. Two or three “come as you wish” tables made available during break times and meals make fruitful fillers. If you can provide materials for a mini-craft along the theme of your event—especially for a fridge magnet—you can send your ladies home with a reminder that will “stick” with them.
