From My List to Yours:

Dear Friends,

We just got kids off to college and back in high school so you’d think my to-do list would be getting a little shorter, wouldn’t you? Nope. It still looks like it could stretch the length of a football field, goal to goal. Yours, too?

Thanks, friends, for spending a couple of e-minutes with me, despite the to-do list. Notice the new look? I so appreciate the fact that you’ve signed up for my newsletter and expressed an interest in what the Lord is doing through this ministry. We don’t take that lightly. And we’re making it a “goal” to ensure what we send to your box is something that will not only inform, but uplift, encourage, motivate—point to Jesus. Got any suggestions? We’d love to hear from you.

Meanwhile, I hope you’ll stay tuned for more new material, give-aways and more chuckles in the months to come.

I love e-fellowshipping with you!

Rhonda Rhea

P.S. Big Thanks!

I just would like to thank all those who prayed for her through the completion of her latest manuscript, a "Blings" book from Philippians 4:8-9 on the topic of peace. The book is finished! Funny, heart-touching and life-changing as ever, I can’t wait to see what kind of ministry the Lord has in mind for this one! It’s scheduled for a September 2009 release. Thanks again for your prayers!

Remote Location

by Rhonda Rhea

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them - Isaiah 42:16, NIV

We were searching for the TV remote again this week. We looked in the sofa, under the chair, behind the end table...inside the DVD player. We looked everywhere but hadn't even a remote idea where it was ("remote" idea—sorry, but you knew I'd have to put it in here somewhere).

Every time we plan to watch... [read more]

Form your prayer support team first.

Gather a group of prayer warriors you know will bathe your event in fervent prayer from start to finish, planning to follow-up. Ask someone to head up the team and encourage her to keep her team informed on prayer needs for the organization of the event, the various planning committees, the speakers and music leaders, every attendee (offering names, if possible, so each one can be prayed for by name) and every other aspect. An event that's prayer-pumped? What could be more powerful?

Feedback Corner:

Dear Rhonda,

Just want you to know that I have been reading your books and just love them. Anytime I have to go run an errand, sit in traffic or wait for my car's oil to be changed, I take one of your books. They are light, funny and always help me pass the time with a smile and with God.

Thanks,
JS
